Meet The Musicians

Dom Carter, Music Director

Dom Carter was born and brought up in North Yorkshire.  When he was just 4 years old, he began learning piano, and two years later he took his first organ lesson in the local Parish Church of his hometown, Helmsley. Aged 9, he became a chorister at Ripon Cathedral, before winning a major Music Scholarship to Uppingham School in Rutland. Here, he studied piano accompaniment, composing and conducting, as well as the many other skills required to become a professional musician. On leaving school, he became Organ Scholar of Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he studied Music. It was in Cambridge where Dom's love of theatre really came to the fore. He was Musical Director on a number of shows during his time there, and because of this interested, he decided to further his studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London, where he met Thomas. Aside from music, Dom's major love is cricket. If only there were some way of combining the two!
