'Midnight Strings' was originally formed by Thomas Spencer-Wortley specifically to accompany him on his first tour, building on the idea of a strong connection between the classical world and popular music. There have been a few changes during the initial stages and a special thank you goes to Shelagh McKail and Emily Koustlin for their contribution. The group now welcomes a new member, violinist Songae Kim to the line up.

There is no doubting the combined talent, having graduated from prestigious music conservatoires, but essentially the girls are great friends. Whilst they are, in their minds simply doing what they enjoy, they present an elegance which compliments the beautiful sound they create.

Public feedback to date has been extremely complimentary and the girls are now preparing to respond by way of becoming Thomas' official supporting act in addition to performing independently.

With a first album currently being developed under Thomas's label, Cove Records, the future looks very exciting.
